Blowhole Honored by the American Blues Theater

Q1 of 2025 has been busy and very artistically fulfilling, and I can’t wait to update you on the workshops, productions, and honors I’ve received since the year began! However, before I do that, I’m excited to announce that my full-length play, BLOWHOLE, was selected as a semi-finalist for the American Blues Theater’s 2025 Blue Ink Award! So many of the faces above have been my teachers and mentors on my playwriting journey to date, and seeing my face among them is a bit surreal! I might have to start thinking of myself as a “real” playwright pretty soon—ironic, if only because the theme for the year seems to be “stretching myself beyond playwriting.”

I just want to show some love to all of the phenomenal artists who have helped me develop this piece into the play it has become! If anyone is ready to program a hilarious, timely, timeless, unique, nostalgic, silly, scintillating, and scandalous full-length play in their season, I am still waiting on a world premiere!
